Those on parade at Bordon War Memorial included service personnel from the Bordon Garrison and Royal Air Force in Oakhanger, as well as Army cadets.
Adam Carew laid the first wreath.
This year, Armistice Day fell on Remembrance Sunday, making the service and two-minute silence at the memorial, on the A325, all the more poignant for family and friends of military personnel, as well as town residents who went to pay their respects.
Meanwhile, a Garrison Remembrance Service was held at Prince Philip Barracks.
Major (retired) Alan Johnson said: "The 1,000-strong congregation really felt the sense of occasion of remembrance and, accompanied by the Garrison Church Choir, sang heartily at the service, which was led by Monsignor Robert Corrigan, the Garrison padre and The Rev Wendy Mallas, the officiating chaplain to the military. Special acknowledgement was made to the 52 sailors, soldiers and airman killed in action since the last remembrance. Following the service, the wreaths were laid at the war memorial in the garrison cemetery."
Garrison Commander Colonel David Ansell sent a personal message to all concerned, saying that "together, we made the act of remembrance a real event and certainly one that I will never forget".
