THE family of Haslemere teenager Jasmine Bush, who died on the railway near Haslemere station last Thursday, paid touching tribute to their “most beautiful daughter”.

The 16 year-old Woolmer Hill student, affectionately known as “Jaz”, was struck by a train at around 4pm.

Officers from British Transport Police were called to the line close to Haslemere station alongside paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service,

But despite their efforts to save her, she was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Ian, Nicky, Josh and Jordan Bush said: “On Thursday afternoon, our world was turned upside down when we lost our most beautiful daughter in these tragic circumstances.

“Jasmine (above) sadly lost the battle with depression and anxiety after two-and-a-half years fighting, she was also diagnosed with autism and PDA disorder on the way unfortunately the help out there was limited.

“We honestly would never have thought she would do something like this it just doesn’t seem real.

“The house is silent, no doors are being slammed or music playing at a ridiculous noise and we think that will be the hardest thing to get over the quietness and the hole she has left.

“Mental health is a growing issue in this generation, a lot of people just push to one side, but it does exist and it does affect people in different ways. If you are reading this and you are suffering, there is help out there and we would advise you to take it.

“We would just like to say thank you to everyone for the messages and the flowers on the bridge.

“We know Jasmine can see them and she is an everlasting star that will shine brightly in the sky, hopefully she has realised that she was actually loved not just by her family but by friends as well.

“RIP Jaz Love you.”

Tributes to a much-loved friend poured in on social media. Last Friday morning, schoolmate Josh posted on Facebook: “That phone call we had yesterday will never be forgotten.

“I’m glad I managed to say I love you, you’re going to be deeply missed by many.

“You’re a skat head, my skat head, we had one argument and that was just because we are argumentative a**holes.

“I’ll never forget keeping you out of trouble in science and English. I’ll never forget the times we had this and last summer.

“I’ll never forget when I pushed you in the bush and I came down with you I guess that’s instant karma isn’t it? I love you Jasmine keep an eye on me yeah?”

Writing on Instagram, Molly said: “You made me laugh from the age of six when we were bored watching our brothers play football, to the age of 15 when I saw you running around school, everyone will miss you Jaz and I’m so sorry none of us were there for you, RIP beautiful.”

Equally moving was a farewell note from Ben, left with a bunch of red roses and kisses on the Church Road footbridge across the railway line, saying: “You were took way before your time. I’m sorry about any times I was mad or angry at you. I miss those trips out and I hope you find peace in Heaven.”
