Surrey Police has confirmed a woman has sadly died following the collision between the junction of the A287 and A286 on Bell Road and Midhurst Road in Haslemere.
The collision, involving a blue Citroen Saxo car and a black Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4, took place at around 12:50pm this afternoon (Feb 21).
The driver of the Citroen, an 80 year old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the collision. The driver of the Jeep suffered minor injuries. Police have notified the woman’s next of kin.
Bell Road, between the junction of the A287 and Midhurst Road is closed. Fernden Lane at the junction of the A286 is also closed and will remain so while we investigate the incident and enable the road to reopen. Please find alternative routes at this time.
