SURREY Police has been recognised for its continued dedication to diversity by the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) charity Stonewall.
The Stonewall Workplace Equality Index for 2017 was published in January highlighting leading organisations commitment to LGBT+ inclusivity.
More than 400 organisations across the UK entered into the index and Surrey Police has been ranked for the first time at #176.
Surrey Police deputy chief constable Gavin Stephens said: “We are extremely proud to have been awarded this position in the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index for 2017.
“This is our first ever ranking and we hope it shows our dedication to creating a diverse workforce and we will continue to work towards maintaining an inclusive organisation that is reflective of the communities we serve.”
Surrey Police is currently recruiting for officers. Anyone interested in joining the force should take a look at its current vacancies online at www.surrey.police.uk/jobs/.
