SURREY Police Authority is to challenge a Government threat to cap the county police budget for the second year in a row.
The decision to challenge the capping threat, made subject to legal advice, was taken by the 17 members of the authority at a public meeting on Monday, four days after learning that its council tax demand had again earned a Government black mark.
