A POLICE helicopter and dogs were called out to track down a man who fled the scene after a two-car crash.
A man was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving following a two-car collision in Churt Road, outside Hindhead Golf Club, around 6pm on July 14.
The vehicles involved included a Vauxhall Astra van and a Toyota Hilux, according to a Surrey Police spokesman.
The Astra driver made off after the crash and was found in Tilford later that evening.
He was arrested on possession of a class B drug, after a small amount of a substance believed to be cannabis was found in the vehicle, and on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident.
A 37-year-old man from Guildford has been released on police bail, and must return to Guildford police station on August 24, pending further enquiries.
