POLICE are appealing for information after a rare traditional gypsy-style caravan was stolen in Headley.

Between 7pm last Thursday and 8.30am last Friday, burglars got into a field at the back of a property, in Liphook Road, and removed gate hinges and took down wooden fence posts and barbed wire. They stole the caravan, valued at £20,000.

The owner, Wanda Rix, told the Bordon Herald the theft had upset her and her family because the caravan is of great sentimental value and has been on her property for more than three decades.
