POLICE are appealing for information after a large quantity of cash was stolen from a charity shop in Liphook.

The offenders forced entry to the Cancer Research charity shop on Station Road between 5pm on November 22 and 9am on November 23, stealing £370.

Pc James Street said: “This is a particularly despicable crime where the offenders have stolen money from a charity.

“I am appealing for anyone with information about this incident to come forward. Did you see anyone in the area overnight? Have you heard who may be responsible?

“I would urge residents and business owners to ensure all windows and doors are secure and make sure any cash is put away in a safe, and not left out, even if you think it’s out of sight.

“I would urge anyone with information to get in touch with us and help us find those responsible.”
