POLICE are hunting for drivers in a convoy after a man died when his car crashed into a tree and caught fire.
The 40-year-old from South Warnborough, was driving a black Audi S5 which crashed on the B3349 Odiham Road near to the Golden Pot crossing at Shalden, just before 8pm on Tuesday, October 8.
Police want to trace two drivers who were travelling south in a convoy of three cars towards Alton shortly before the crash. They also want to speak to two female drivers who stopped at the scene.
Hampshire Constabulary believes two of the cars in the convoy were a pale green or mint green Ford Fiesta and a coffee coloured or brown car - possibly a new Skoda.
