POLICE are appealing for witnesses after four shops were broken into at the Forest Shopping Centre in Bordon.
Thieves forced their way into The Bordon Charity Shop, The Forest Cobbler, Blonde Ambition hair salon and Liphook Valet Service between 8pm on Friday, December 20, and 8am on Saturday, December 21.
Mark Dangerfield, from The Forest Cobbler, said that the burglars had to break three doors to get into his premises.
He said that the damage cost more than what was stolen and he suspected that the thieves were looking for money.
"I think they were disturbed when they got into here because they just grabbed the money from the till," he said. "It looks like they were rushed."
Cash, six black leather wallets, 25 Zippo lighters, six GHD hair straighteners and four men's shampoo and hair wax sets were stolen from the various businesses.
Pc James Hook, from Alton police station, said: "The shops, which include a charity store, were targeted during the festive season. Did you see anything suspicious or do you have information about the stolen property?"
Anyone with information can call Pc Hook on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
