DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses after a burglary in Empshott on Tuesday, June 24. Between 8am and 3.15pm four men broke through the back door of a property on Stairs Hill. Once inside they stole a Toshiba laptop, two iPods, a Casio digital camera, a PSP portable games console with games and chargers for mobile phones. The first man is described as white, of slim build and with mousy brown, short hair. He had a number of tattoos. The second man is described as white, of stocky build, with a broad face and long, black collar-length hair. He is thought to be aged between 17 and 25 and is described as being between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins tall. The third and fourth men are late teens to early 20s and slim. Dc Richard Skillern of Alton CID, said: "This happened during the day when people would have been around and we would urge any witnesses to contact us as soon as possible." In particular police would like to hear from anyone who saw a blue/ grey Ford Mondeo in the Empshott or Liss areas.
