SURREY Police are prepared for a rise in domestic abuse during the 2010 World Cup tournament.

During the 2006 World Cup in Germany, incidents of reported domestic abuse rose by 25 per cent in Surrey, so plans are in place to protect an increased number of victims.

The problem is predicted particularly on the days of England's matches.
