SURREY Police have joined up with West Midlands Police to investigate if savings could be made by farming out non-frontline services to the private sector.
In the proposal, due to be presented to the Surrey Police Authority next Thursday, the police will suggest in-depth discussions with the private sector about what skills, expertise and solutions a partnership would bring.
The force believes it could both improve service delivery and make savings in non-frontline activities.
