POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an attempted burglary at a Bordon bank.

The incident occurred at Lloyds TSB, in Camp Road, at around 2.38am on Saturday, December 13.

Hampshire police were alerted by an intruder alarm, following which officers disturbed two suspects, who escaped on foot and then, possibly, by car.

A Constabulary spokeswoman appealed for potential witnesses, particularly among the residents of Loweswater Gardens and Buttermere Close, who saw or heard anything suspicious, to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
