DETECTIVES are appealing for information after two Co-op stores were burgled on the same night.

Last Thursday, between midnight and 5am, two men, with their faces covered and wearing light, hooded tops, broke into the Co-op in the Forest Centre, Pinehill Road, Bordon, and stole cigarettes.

At around midnight on the same night two men broke into the Co-op, in North Lane, Aldershot, and stole cigarettes. The men also had their faces covered. They escaped in a dark-coloured saloon car, possibly a BMW 5 Series, towards Ash Road.

Detectives are linking the two incidents and would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious.

Det Con Andy Grieve said: "These were very similar incidents which occurred in the early hours of Thursday, August 30. Did you see anything suspicious at either of the Co-op stores? Did you see a dark-coloured BMW 5 Series in the Aldershot area at the time of the burglary? If you have any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, please call me."
