A 21-year-old man was stabbed at around 10.40pm on Friday by a man he knew.

Police received a report about the fight, near Eggar's School. The victim received treatment at hospital and was later discharged.

Dc Ewan Gardner said: "Several people from Alton, Bordon and Whitehill saw the fight or know what happened but are unwilling to speak to police through fear of reprisals.

"We need to know what happened to help us prevent further incidents. Please come forward and tell us what you know, and be reassured that any information given to us will be treated in the strictest confidence."
