POLICE are seeking witnesses after a teenage pedestrian was injured in what appears to have been a hit-and-run incident in Alton on Friday.

It happened at between noon and 12.30pm when a car, described as a light blue Honda Jazz, and a pedestrian were involved in an accident along Paper Mill Lane.

The vehicle didn’t remain at the scene, and the pedestrian – a 15-year-old boy – was taken to hospital for treatment to an ankle injury.

Officers would like to speak to witnesses, or anyone who can help identify the driver of the vehicle involved.
