POLICE are probing a spate of thefts around Alton.

A Pramac Trailer Generator, worth £6,000, was stolen between 4pm on July 22 and 8am on July 25 from a premises on Caker Stream Road, Alton.

A muck truck was taken from a site on The Street, Binsted, between 5.30pm on July 26 and 4pm on July 27.

In Four Marks, thieves stole the front bumper of a vehicle left locked and unattended in a car park in Hazel Road between 11pm on Tuesday, July 26, and 2am on Wednesday, July 27.

Thieves struck in Holt Pound sometime between midnight on Saturday, July 23, and 10.45am on Friday, July 29, stealing a tractor, quad bike, strimmer and chainsaw from a secure shed on Farnham Road.

In Alton, tools were stolen from the back and footwell of a vehicle parked on Turk Street between 7pm on July 29 and 7.30am on August 1.

And in Ropley, thieves stole tools between 4.30pm on Monday, August 1, and 7.30am on Tuesday, August 2, after forcing open a lock up at Bighton Hill.
