POLICE have made an urgent appeal for witnesses following two violent robberies in Farnham at the weekend. The first took place on Saturday evening when a man was attacked and robbed as he walked through Farnham park. Officers are also investigating a second robbery which took place in daylight hours in The Hart car park on Sunday. A woman was returning to her car in the Waitrose car park at around 1.20pm and had opened the rear door to put her handbag in the footwell when a man approached her from behind and grabbed the handle of the bag.
