THE successful fight against crack cocaine across Guildford and Waverley continued this week, with three further arrests on suspicion of possession of class-A drugs with intent to supply, and one arrest on suspicion of possession of class-A drugs.

Police also searched six addresses in Milford, Shalford, Guildford, Ripley and London under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

They recovered a substantial amount of crack cocaine with a street value estimated at several thousand pounds, an imitation firearm, and paraphernalia associated with drug-dealing.

As a result of further investigations linked to Operation Dragnet, West Surrey's continuing campaign against crack cocaine, several arrests were made and those involved are still in custody or on police bail. Another man arrested was released.

Superintendent Kevin Deanus of West Surrey Police said: "Following the raids last week, we have identified further links to Operation Dragnet, resulting in further arrests and have seized a significant amount of white powder, which we believe to be crack cocaine.

"These arrests have demonstrated to the public that we are committed to disrupting drug markets and that we have the capability rapidly to develop local intelligence and stamp on drugs activity at an early stage.

"It also shows that we have listened to the concerns of the community and have acted quickly in response to these concerns, and that we do not tolerate drug dealing in West Surrey.

"We will tackle drug dealers head-on. I will deploy whatever staff are needed to continue to dismantle this crack cocaine network."

Supt Deanus added: "We depend on support from members of the local community to pass information to us about identified drugs problems.
