HAMPSHIRE Constabulary has pulled out all the stops in support of Operation Rogue Trader – a week of action against doorstep crime.
The focus was on reinforcing the protection given to vulnerable residents and involved police forces and trading standards services across the county.
Chief Inspector Dave Winter, the Operation Rogue Trader lead for Hampshire Police, said: “Our officers are relentless in their efforts to track and disrupt the activities of distraction burglars and rogue traders who try to manipulate and exploit the trust of the victims they prey upon.”
During the week police arrested a suspect for fraud by false representation who is now on bail until next month. Officers also seized a vehicle after its driver, a suspected rogue trader, was found to have no tax.
