POLICE are urging people to be vigilant following a series of garage break-ins in the Kingsley area.

Community support officer James Merrell said that overnight on February 11 burglars broke locks and forced open doors to break into a number of garages, stealing bikes and other valuable items.

“I would like to remind you to ensure that all of your property is accounted for and secured when it is left unattended,” Mr Merrell said to villagers.

“The police will continue to carry out patrols in the area but if you see or hear anything suspicious, please call police on 101, or if it is an emergency use 999.”
