HAMPSHIRE Constabulary's specialist roads policing unit is urging motorcyclists and car drivers to be extra vigilant on the roads in the hot weather, following the county's sixth fatal motorbike collision in one week - with one victim named as Darren Garfitt from Bordon.

Two of the six fatalities occurred around the Bordon area - the first in Oakhanger on the evening of Thursday, July 4, and the second, just over an hour later, in Alton.

Mr Garfitt, 40, from Oakley Road, in Bordon, lost his life when his Honda Blackbird motorcycle was in collision with a silver Mitsubishi Shogun.
