OPERATION Gallant, a west Surrey Police initiative to tackle car crime across the division, has seen a 42 per cent drop in crime involving vehicles.

The two-week campaign aimed at the detection, disruption and reduction of car crime across the boroughs of Waverley, Guildford, Surrey Heath, and Woking saw officers from tactical CID, Safer Neighbourhood teams and Operational Support execute a number of activities.
