ALTON is famous for its associations with the great Jane Austen and the unfortunate Fanny Adams, but now it has emerged that another Altonian, who lived reclusively among us for 30 years, was a celebrity too.
Les Humphries (born Leslie John Humphreys) died in December 2007.
