AWARD-winning family rave crew Big Fish Little Fish are coming back to Farnham after their sold-out rave last year.

Drawing on their own experience as seasoned clubbers and parents to create anarchic, social, real fun for all ages - in just two years BFLF has exploded from a monthly party in Brixton to become a major player on the family arts scene across the country.

Its founder, Hannah Saunders, created the event because there was nothing like it to take her own family to: somewhere relaxed, entertaining and daft, where the adults enjoy themselves as much as the children and vice versa.

She said: “We were delighted to find so many up for it family ravers at our first Farnham Maltings event and this time bring the DJing skills of Joe Muggs and amazing crafting of Captain Cookie to raise the roof a second time. Oi Oi Farnham, see you on the dance floor!”

At the heart of the event is a live DJ mixing eclectic dance music - house, rave, hip hop, ska, techno, disco, drum’n’bass, disco, UK garage, grime - to get everyone dancing together. Farnham Maltings’ DJ is BFLF regular, Joe Muggs.

Captain Cookie, a child craft expert will be running the Happy Monkey craft tables, a giant colouring mural and Playdoh table.

The Villa Pia chill-out zone for babies and crawlers comes complete with soft mats, beanbags and a soft-play ball pool. Toddlers can play in pop-up tents and tunnels.

All children get free glowsticks and transfer tattoos included in the ticket price, plus a free Happy Monkey Smoothie to take home.

The Big Fish Little Fish family rave will return to the Maltings on Sunday, April 3, from 2pm to 4.30pm.

Tickets cost £8 (£8 child, under 1s free), available online at farnhammaltings.com or by calling the Maltings’ box office on 01252 745444.
