YOUNGSTERS had a half-term treat at Alton library when author Jayne Stennett read from her new book The Posh Moggs Cat Show, as well as excerpts from The Moggies Big Adventure.

She also introduced her audience of four to seven year olds to her feline characters, Posh Moggs, and, like the other colourful cats, they were all hand-knitted by Jayne and all had individual personalities.

The children were then given a colour-your-own sheet which they could decorate and use crayons, glue and wool to make their own Moggie.

Jayne, who lives in Four Marks, also had several of her books on sale at the library so the youngsters could take home some bedtime reading.
