THE furore over the removal of roadside banners and posters advertising local events continued this week when eagle-eye Herald readers spotted out-of-date bunting heralding the summer's Olympic Games still flying high in the town.
East Hampshire District Council has been branded "hypocritical" in ripping down posters for forthcoming events while leaving London 2012 and 'Inspire a Generation' banners lining Dragon Street, erected to highlight the torch relay through the town last July.
It has also added to the frustration felt by a theatre group, which unceremoniously had the advertising boards and posters to advertise its latest production removed.
