TWO roads in Farnham are among the first set to benefit from Surrey County Council’s investment of an extra £20 million in the county’s pothole-ravaged highway network.

Crondall Lane and Menin Way, as well as Guildford Road in Runfold, have been included in the first tranche of roads earmarked for “extensive repairs” as revealed by Surrey’s lead cabinet member for place, Colin Kemp.

Last month the county council revealed that a further £15m was being invested in Surrey’s roads on top of the £5m previously announced, after a double bout of cold weather and snow in February and March - the so-called Beast and Mini-Beast from the East - put an extra strain on Surrey’s highways.
