SURREY County Council is set to close a mile-long stretch of Tilford Road tomorrow for emergency pothole repairs.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Great Austins and Bourne Grove from around 8.30am until 3.30pm on Wednesday afternoon.

A diversion route is in place and a council spokesman said the works have been timed to avoid the morning and evening rush-hours.
