POTTERS Gate Children’s Centre has been awarded Healthy Children’s Centre status, recognising its commitment to improving the health outcomes of children and their parents, from pregnancy through the first five years.
The centre had to demonstrate how it promotes and help with mental and physical health for their families , through the advice, courses and sessions provided at the centre.
Potters Gate Children’s Centre aims to ensure all children have the best possible start in life. It is a part-time centre and works with families and carers to support them in achieving the best for their children.
The centre is located in the centre of Farnham, off Beavers Road, and provides a wide range of advice, information, activities and events for families of children from birth to five years.
As well as running regular fun activities for parents and your children, it can help by supporting parents to return to work, help families to accessing other voluntary or statutory services and assist parents in finding child care or nurseries and applying for childcare (FEET) funding.
A spokesman said: “All of the play sessions and courses are free, so come along and enjoy what Potters Gate Children’s Centre can offer you and your family.”
