A POWER cut at a nearby pumping station has been blamed for a system breakdown which sent raw sewage flooding into three cottages at New Alresford for the second time in four days.

Having endured flooding from a burst sewer pipe on New Year's Eve, the residents of Riverside Cottages, The Dean, woke last Thursday morning to find they had been flooded again.
