A POWER company has apologised for ruining Christmas lunch for hundreds of families around Petersfield.

More than 600 properties around Rogate, Milland and Rake were disconnected at 6.20am because of a stricken overhead power line.
Most were reconnected by noon but Christmas lunch was a case of cold turkey for others – with some angry customers waiting until 9pm to get back on the grid.
