CHILDREN at Headley's Little Badgers Pre-school are busy preparing for spring.

As well as getting their garden ready to grow plants, they have been making fat balls for the birds to eat.
Fat balls provide nutritious food for birds and are particularly popular among blackbirds, blue tits, great tits, house sparrows, long-tailed tits, robins and starlings.
The young children enjoyed making the fat balls, which are easy to put together.
While doing so, they learned about the wildlife on their doorstep.
