THE Moving Prefab Museum and Archive is hitting the roads again, starting off at Farnham’s very own Rural Life Centre today (Thursday) from 7pm.

The Prefab Museum tells a story that resonates today and paints a picture of social, domestic and working class life in Britain from 1946 to the present day.

The prefabricated homes were designed to last 10 to 15 years when they were erected between 1946 to 1948 but hundreds have survived and been loved by their residents.

Elisabeth Blanchet and Jane Hearn will talk about the history and development of the post-war prefab, the architecture and designs and the communities that lived and still live in them.
