SUPPORTERS of the Pro-Life movement again marked the anniversary of the Abortion Act being passed in 1968 with a roadside silent vigil at Hickleys Corner, Farnham on Saturday. April 23.
One of the campaigners said: “Some people think we should not raise this issue in public, because by doing so we are inevitably re-opening wounds in many people who – until they see us – are simply going about their daily business.
“But if we don’t ask people, once a year, to think about this issue of life and death then the numbers of people carrying those emotional wounds will continue to multiply.”
