EGGAR’S class of 2017 celebrated the completion of their GCSEs in style with a leavers’ prom at Froyle Park Country Estate.
Set in beautiful gardens with stunning views over Upper Froyle, the students all looked “amazing” and drew quite a crowd.
This is the second year Eggar’s School has held its end-of-year prom at Froyle Park and the whole event was described as “fantastic from start to finish”.
A school spokesman said: “Communication between the staff at Froyle Park with staff at Eggar’s was superb, not to mention the support of A&W Traffic Management who worked tirelessly to keep the traffic moving.”
Patrick Sullivan, headteacher at the Holybourne school, commented on how “committed and professional” the staff were, ensuring that every arrangement was planned and organised in great detail.
“Even the challenge of accommodating more than 175 students and staff, as well as many parents and family coming to watch the procession and arrival of their children, was organised down to the last detail, making the whole evening a fabulous success.”
According to Mr Sullivan, the students had “worked exceptionally hard this year” so this was a well-deserved opportunity to celebrate with friends and staff.
He added: “We wish them all the very best of luck in the future and look forward to seeing them again on August 24 when they collect their exam results.”
