JUST a fortnight after news came from Hampshire County Council that Alton was to get a new £1 million library, Alton College has unveiled a proposal to build a major new academic library.
The £2 million building, which will replace the existing facility on campus, is expected to be the biggest library in East Hampshire. It will boast an enlarged reference section, with a wider range of books in support of all advanced level courses, alongside state-of-the-art IT facilities.
