THE Grain House Trust has received £2500 to fund Christians Against Poverty's new Alton Debt Help Centre, set up to assist people in Alton and Four Marks.

The donation was by the Santander Foundation which offers grants to UK charities for projects that help disadvantaged people.

The grant will go towards the centre's start-up costs, which include training, local publicity, and events.

Opened in June at the Alton Maltings Centre, the new CAP Debt Help Centre aims to help people in the GU34 area get free of debt, enabling them to live a new and better life.
