DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses after a burglary at the Lloyds TSB bank in Camp Road, Bordon. Between 10pm last Thursday and 6am the following day, burglars got into the bank via the roof, removing tiles before climbing down into the property. An amount of cash was then stolen from the ATM machine inside the bank. A police spokesman told the Herald that the ATM was broken into using tools, and the break-in did not indicate any specialist knowledge of the machine. Dc Martin Hayward, of Alton CID, said: "This was a rare incident and we are appealing to members of the public to help us with our investigation. "We would urge anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area last night to contact police as soon as possible." Anyone with information about the incident should contact Dc Hayward, at Alton Police Station, on 0845 0454545 or call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111. A reward of up to £25,000 may be paid to any member of the public who provides information in relation to the crime against Lloyds TSB.
