WAVERLEY contractor DCL Leisure is to hand over £70,000 for an improvements scheme at HaslemereÕs beleaguered sports centre, The Herons.
The money will be exchanged with the condition the company will continue to its management contract with Waverley for the next four years.
The improvements suggested by DCL Leisure will remain a secret between the company and Waverley Borough Council.
But an officersÕ report presented to last weekÕs full council meeting, at which the decision was ratified, said: ÒThe schemes will be beneficial to the operation and income of the centre. The facilities will directly benefit customers both in terms of increased choice of activities and improvements in quality.Ó
