MEMBERS of the Friends of Medstead School have handed over a cheque for £8,000 to headteacher Jane Oborn (pictured second right) to help buy ICT equipment for the school.

The money was raised from events held throughout the year, including pupils’ Christmas shopping days for parents, the Christmas fayre, school discos, and last year’s Medstock music festival.

They are accompanied by the school’s young governors, who are looking forward to Saturday’s renewal of the Medstock festival, which this year is expected to embrace the fun and games of a family beach party.
