POLICE investigating the fire that gutted the Wheatsheaf public house in Headley Down last week are now a step closer to finding the cause of the blaze.
Dc Ian Mears from Alton CID said he believed the fire was started by a group of local youths in the early hours of Wednesday, March 22.
