THE Secretary of State for Health's plan to demolish Alton's Lord Mayor Treloar Hospital and build 145 houses on the site will go to a public inquiry, scheduled to start on February 1 next year.
A duplicate application, debated for two-and-a-half hours by district councillors on Monday evening, was withdrawn by agents Capitec on Wednesday, leaving their appeal against EHDC's refusal of the original plan to decide the issue.
