AS part of the "once-in-a-lifetime chance" to regenerate the town, people in Whitehill and Bordon have given their views on how Hampshire's "green town" will take shape.

The occasion was a consultation event at Bordon Junior School on Saturday hosted by East Hampshire District Council.

To hammer home the importance of the event it, councillors were out in force alongside planning officers and advisers to explain the Green Town Plan that will change the character of Bordon and Whitehill forever.

Within the next few years there are set to be up to 4,000 new homes and a relief road built, a central square created to house major retailers, cafes and restaurants, and the creation of around 5,500 new jobs.
