A TEAM of publicans have been galvanised into launching a campaign to persuade East Hampshire District Council to reconsider a crippling 'tax' on outdoor seating areas.

As the recession hits the licensing trade, forcing the closures of an average of six pubs a day nationwide, The Wheatsheaf landlords Kevin Barnes and Will Spooner have become the driving force behind a campaign to 'axe the tax'.
