PUB landlords in Farnham are urging residents to spare a thought for them this new year as they may be next to buckle under the current economic slump.

With the fate of Britain's high street shops hanging in the balance and many stores earmarked for closure in the next few months, landlords are reminding residents that five pubs are closing each day across the UK.
