BUSINESSES and residents in Bordon are coming together to help conserve Deadwater Valley Nature Reserve.
Community First and SiGNAL Bordon are organising a morning of volunteer conservation work tomorrow (Friday) from 9.45am to 1pm.
The aim is to help Deadwater Valley Trust maintain the area as a wildlife habitat and leisure site.
The event will be opened by East Hampshire MP Damian Hinds, before volunteers join rangers from the Deadwater Valley Trust in tackling growths of rhododendron and bamboo, which can harm other plants and affect the ecosystem in the area.
It will also offer nature lovers a chance to learn more about woodland ecology and ways to care for the natural environment.
No previous conservation experience is necessary, and all tools and equipment will be provided.
