HASLEMERE student Will Kriehn and three fellow sixth formers at King Edward’s Witley cycled 750 miles to France and back to raise funds for charity.
Their 10-day post-exams challenge has raised an impressive £6,000 in aid of Changing Lives, the Bridewell Foundation bursaries programme the benefits King Edward’s pupils.
Will joined Charlie Howard, Chris Mistlin and Gabriele Magnaghi and they rode from King Edward’s to Dover, crossed the English Channel and cycled to Paris and beyond, before travelling back to Portsmouth via Cherbourg, and biking back to school.
In August, Will and Charlie Howard will take on another Bridewell Foundation activity, the second King Edward’s phone fundraising campaign.
Both events form part of the school’s 150-year anniversary appeal to raise £150,000 for the foundation.
