PUPILS at Shottermill Junior School are riding high with a new climbing frame thanks to some hard fundraising efforts.
Keen to do her bit to improve school playing facilities, business manager Emma Crabb ran a marathon earlier this year to raise £1,588.
Last week, pupils celebrated a brand new addition to the playground that should keep them on their toes.
Headteacher Kate Barnes said: “The children at Shottermill Junior School are delighted with their new ‘clamber stack’ which was installed last week after fundraising from the PTA, as well as our business manager Emma Crabb’s efforts earlier in the year.
“This is an exciting new piece of outdoor equipment and the school council are pictured having their first go to test it out.
“The children are delighted to have the clamber stack to play on at break times and lunch times.”
